About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Integration Manager to lead a team of Data Engineers and drive the design, development, integration, and delivery of scalable cloud-based data solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in GCP Data Engineering, DataOps, Data Modeling, and modern data platforms, along with proven team leadership experience.

What you'll do

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Engineers, including planning, estimation, delivery tracking, and career development.
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable data integration and ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services.
  • Ensure adherence to established architecture, coding, testing, documentation, security, and production standards.
  • Oversee data pipelines from ingestion to consumption using GCP, Python, SQL, BigQuery, DBT, and Apache Airflow.
  • Oversee data models using Medallion Architecture and ensure data quality, validation, profiling, and reconciliation.
  • Drive DataOps, monitoring, alerting, production support, and incident management.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Support data governance, analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and data democratization.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, documentation, and productivity.
  • Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements, scalability, security, and cost optimization.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Integration, including 3+ years in a team leadership/management role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP Data Engineering and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Mandatory expertise in GCP, DataProc, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Bigtable, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, Compute Engine, Looker, and Cloud IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, DBT, Apache Airflow, and Data Modeling.
  • Experience with DataOps, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Visualization, and ML/AI concepts.
  • Good understanding of IaC, Cloud IAM, security, and data policy management.
  • Strong experience in designing scalable data architectures and optimizing cloud costs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar for engineering productivity.
