VMware to Nutanix migration — phased delivery for a mission-critical environment.
Large-scale SQL cluster migration with full infrastructure assessment, planning, and execution.
The situation
A US enterprise was running mission-critical SQL workloads on ageing VMware infrastructure with no acceptable downtime window. Licensing, performance, and supportability were all under pressure.
What we did
Ran a full infrastructure assessment, sized a Nutanix target architecture, and built a phased migration plan with rollback at every step. SQL clusters cut over using replication and DNS-level switching.
The outcome
Delivered a phased VMware to Nutanix migration of SQL workloads, with rollback at every step and DNS-level cutover.
At a glance
Phased SQL cluster migration · DNS-level cutover · Rollback at every step
